Histamine Enzymatic Assay Kit

The MaxSignal™ Histamine Enzymatic Assay Kit is a colorimetric enzymatic assay for the determination of histamine in fish/seafood, fish meal, milk and wine. It features rapid aqueous extraction method with high recovery, high sensitivity and low detection limit (6 ppm), a very rapid and robust enzyme-based assay which does not require chemical derivatization or expensive instrumentation, and high reproducibility. The whole incubation time is merely 10 - 20 minutes. It has the capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate.

It features high recovery (80 - 95%), rapid extraction methods and high reproducibility. The detection limit is 0.1 ppb, which is far below the maximum residue limits set by governments. The prepared samples can be directly used for liquid chromatography confirmation. It has the capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate.
