The MaxSignal® Trenbolone ELISA Test Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of trenbolone in fish, shrimp, meat and urine.
The method is based on a competitive colorimetric ELISA assay. The trenbolone antibody has been coated in the plate wells. During the analysis, sample is added along with the trenbolone-horseradish peroxidase (Trenbolone-HRP) conjugate. If the trenbolone residue is present in the sample, it will compete for the trenbolone antibody, thereby preventing the Trenbolone-HRP from binding to the antibody attached to the well. The resulting color intensity, after addition of the HRP substrate (TMB), has an inverse relationship with the trenbolone residue concentration in the sample.
Trenbolone is a steroid used on livestock to increase muscle growth and appetite. Although steroids result in a higher meat/fat ratio, there is the risk that residues will be left in meat products and which are harmful when consumed to the consumer.
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.
The MaxSignal Trenbolone ELISA Test Kit has the capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate (assuming 12 wells for standards).
