The MaxSignal® Dimetridazole ELISA Test Kit is a competitive colorimetric ELISA assay that is accurate, rapid, cost effective and easy to use and offers a unique extraction method. The MaxSignal Dimetridazole ELISA Test Kit is an effective screening tool for detecting dimetridazole in various sample types at concentrations as low as 0.5 ppb.
In this kit, the dimetridazole antibody has been coated in the plate wells. During analysis, sample is added along with the dimetridazole-horseradish peroxidase (Dimetridazole-HRP) conjugate. If dimetridazole residue is present in the sample, it will compete for the dimetridazole antibody, thereby preventing the Dimetridazole-HRP from binding to the antibody attached to the well. The resulting color intensity, after addition of the HRP substrate (TMB), has an inverse relationship with the dimetridazole residue concentration in the sample.
Dimetridazole (DMZ) is a 5-nitroimidazole drug that prevents protozoan infections. Dimetridazole is listed in Annex IV of the council Regulation 2377/90/EC, and is thus banned from use in food producing animals. Dimetridazole poisoning can result in infertility and hepatic and renal insufficiency.
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.
The MaxSignal Dimetridazole ELISA Test Kit has the capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate (assuming 12 wells for standards). Store the kit at 2-8°C. The shelf life is 12 months when the kit is properly stored.
