Bioo Scientific offers two versions of the MaxSignal® Aflatoxin M1 ELISA Test Kit; both of which are competitive enzyme immunoassays for the quantitative analysis of aflatoxin M1. The first is a rapid version (Cat # 1060-02) for use with milk samples. This kit offers a significantly reduced ELISA reaction time of 30 minutes (15 minute incubation + 15 minute TMB). Milk can be used directly for analysis and does not require sample preparation.
Background: less than 100 ppt
Spiking at 0.5 ppb and 2 ppb
The second version is a more sensitive version (Cat # 1060-05) which is designed for use with both milk and cheese samples. Milk can be used directly for analysis with this version too and does not require sample preparation.
Background: less than 0.01 ppb
Spiking at 0.05 ppb
Aflatoxin M1 is the hydroxylated metabolite of Aflatoxin B1. Aflatoxins are the most carcinogenic naturally occurring substances. In 1987, the WHO classified the aflatoxins as Group 1 cancerogens. Aflatoxins are potent liver carcinogens and DNA-damaging agents from natural source. Aflatoxin M1 is known to be oxidized by the mixed function oxygenases of the liver P-450 system. This oxidation results in a reactive 8,9-epoxide as the major product, which seems to preferentially attack certain guanine residues in double stranded DNA.
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001:2008.
PLATE:1 x 96 well (Removable 8 wells x 12 strips)
MEASUREMENT: Microtiter plate reader (450 nm)
TESTS PER KIT: The kit has the capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate
SHELF LIFE: 12 Months when stored under optimal conditions
STORAGE: Store the kit at 2-8°C. If you are not planning to use the kit for over 1 month, store Aflatoxin M1 Standards, Aflatoxin M1 Antibody and HRP-Conjugate at -20°C or in a freezer.
