The MaxDiscovery™ Creatine Kinase (CK) Enzymatic Assay Kit is a colorimetric assay for the determination of creatine kinase in liquid samples.
The MaxDiscovery Creatine Kinase (CK) Enzymatic Assay Kit measures the concentration of creatine kinase using the creatine kinase enzyme, which converts ADP to ATP. The ATP produced by the creatine kinase is then detected by a coupled enzymatic reaction in which the ATP is first used to produce 6-glucose phosphate which is then used by a third enzyme to produce NADH from NAD+, which is monitored by the absorbance change at 340 nm. The kit also contains NADH standards to construct a linear calibration curve and verify assay performance.
